Admissions

Once the choice has been made, we will do our upmost to help make the transition of moving into our homes as comfortable and as easy as possible for all concerned. Bedrooms are freshly decorated to welcome a new resident and we encourage people to bring with them items of furniture, photographs, plants and other belongings to help them feel 'at home'. Our friendly staff will be on hand to provide a warm welcome - they have much experience in helping our residents settle into their new home and many firm friendships are made as a result. Friends and relatives are of course welcome at any time.

Within our homes, care is based around each person's individual needs. Some of our residents have only modest care requirements, and may simply enjoy living within a secure and caring environment. However, whatever the need, care is delivered with patience, kindness and understanding.

Care plans are implemented and reviewed on a regular basis. A care plan is a document which states the care needs of the individual resident and gives clear guidelines as to how and when these needs will be met. The care plans are discussed in an informal way, with the residents and their relatives if they so wish.

Emphasis on all aspects of care is our Manager's primary concern and, together with the experienced team of qualified staff, all adhere to rigorous standards with internal audits and checks.

Our residents enjoy being in control of their lives without any unnecessary intrusions. Nonetheless, when a degree of care is required, they can relax in the knowledge that help is always at hand, whatever hour of the day or night. Our care teams are backed up by a strong support team of local GP's and District Nurses (residents can nominate their own dedicated GP if preferred).
