Admissions
We will do our upmost to help make the transition of moving into our homes as comfortable and as easy as possible for all concerned. Bedrooms are freshly decorated to welcome a new resident and we encourage people to bring with them items of furniture, photographs, plants and other belongings to help them feel 'at home'. Our friendly staff will be on hand to provide a warm welcome - they have much experience in helping our residents settle into their new home and many firm friendships are made as a result. Friends and relatives are of course welcome at any time.
Care plans are implemented and reviewed on a regular basis. A care plan is a document which states the care needs of the individual resident and gives clear guidelines as to how and when these needs will be met. The care plans are discussed in an informal way, with the residents and their relatives if they so wish.
Emphasis on all aspects of care is our staff and Managers' primary concern and, together with the experienced team of qualified staff, all adhere to rigorous standards with internal audits and checks.
Our residents enjoy being in control of their lives without any unnecessary intrusions. Nonetheless, when a degree of care is required, they can relax in the knowledge that help is always at hand, whatever hour of the day or night. Our care teams are backed up by a strong support team of local GP's and District Nurses (residents can nominate their own dedicated GP if preferred).

Fees and Contracts
AbbeyCare operates a trial visit policy to ensure a mutually, suitable placement is achieved. As a first stage to this residents are invited to spend a day with us, perhaps for lunch or tea to become familiar with their surroundings and ensure they are happy with the facilities and environment we provide. The next step is usually a trial stay of up to four weeks and a decision is usually taken by the end of that period whether the placement is suitable.
The fees are dependent upon the choice of room available and the individual's requirements and needs. These will be discussed and agreed prior to admission as will individual arrangements for payment of fees.
It is important to take advice to make sure you are making the right decision so please contact our Senior Manager who will be pleased to discuss our fees and contract arrangements Tel. 01934 419244.
