AbbeyCare is the trading name of Weston-super-Mare Free Church Housing Association which has three homes in the town. It is a non-profit making Christian organisation, established almost sixty years ago and today is still run by a voluntary Management Committee drawn from local churches, supported by an Operations Manager and also a Care Manager in each home.
We take great pride in offering the highest standards of accommodation and facilities; indeed the level of care we give to every one of our residents is exactly what we would want our own loved ones to receive, so you will find that our homes are run very much along the lines of a comfortable caring family home, where each resident is a valued member of a small community.
Our registration classification is for age 65 years or over.
Our residential families maintain their own lifestyles in a way which reflects their own personal choices, enabling them to have as much independence as possible.
Our food is guaranteed to satisfy any appetite. Our Cooks prepare a whole range of home-cooked food based upon traditional cooking using fresh produce.
Menus change daily and always include a vegetarian option. See a typical menu.
Special dietary requirements and personal preferences can be catered for, and our homes are always pleased to help celebrate birthdays and other special events with family and friends. Homemade cakes are always available at tea time and tea, coffee and biscuits are available all day.
