Day Care @ Abbeycare

We offer opportunities to take part in activities and outings (weather permitting), meet new people and make use of our facilities, including personal care as required. The team at Abbeycare can provide day care, short term respite care, holiday respite breaks and long-term residential care in a welcoming ‘home from home’ environment. All care, meals and activities (except specials, ie. theatre etc) are included in the price.

Respite Care

Respite is designed for someone who lives on their own and needs some extra care, or possibly recovering from being unwell or it may be that you are looked after by family or friends who need a break or are having a well-deserved holiday. You will be cared for by our experienced staff and have the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals.  Christian services are held once a week that residents are welcome to attend if they choose. A range of other activities are also offered each week, for example, trips out with friendly staff and in-house entertainment.

Holiday Respite Breaks @ Gough House

From the 2023 season, we are offering enhanced Holiday Respite Breaks at Gough House, with daytime activities, entertainment and trips. Carers can take a break knowing that their loved ones will also be enjoying the Weston-super-Mare area.
